Kurt Zellmann

Kurt serves the City of Mequon as the Deputy Chief of the Southern Ozaukee Fire & EMS Department.  Deputy Chief Zellmann started with the Mequon Fire Department in May of 2019, previously he served the City of West Allis Fire Department as a Firefighter Paramedic and eventually attained the rank of Assistant Chief with WAFD.  DC Zellmann has held various positions in his career, starting out as a Mechanical Engineering technician graduating from MSOE.  Chief Zellmann started his Fire Service career as a volunteer for the Village of Lannon Fire Department, before joining the City of West Allis and also working part time with Flight For Life as a Critical Care Level Flight Paramedic.  Chief Zellmann was born and raised in Mequon and attended the Mequon/Thiensville schools graduating from Homestead in 1991.  DC Zellmann has lived in Mequon for the past fifteen years with his wife and children and is very glad to be able to serve his hometown community.  As Deputy Chief for the Fire Department, his responsibilities include all fire inspection and permit related issues.
