Mequon Named Tree City USA

The City of Mequon has been named a Tree City USA by the Arbor Day Foundation. This designation makes Mequon one of more than 3,600 Tree City USA communities, with a combined population of 155 million. To attain this designation, the City has met or exceed the programs four requirements: a tree board, a tree care ordinance, an annual community forestry budget, and the observance and proclamation of Arbor Day.  Please see the attached letter and press release from the Arbor Day Foundation for additional details.
