Arbor Day Celebration on April 28

The City's annual Arbor Day celebration is taking place on Sunday, April 28 from 1:00 - 3:00 P.M. at River Barn Park. Last year, over 400 guests attended and close to 1,200 trees were handed out. This year, larger container trees will be raffled off, goodie bags will be available for children, and 15 plus local nature driven organizations will have displays inside the pavilion. Brats, hot dogs, chips, water, and soda will be served and be sure to check-out the forestry equipment!  The following trees and shrubs will be available:

Bur Oak

Sugar Maple

Tamarack

Evergreens:

White Pine

White Cedar

Balsam Fir

Shrubs:

Nannyberry

American Elderberry

American Hazelnut

Allegheny Serviceberry
